Seedling Foundation, with the help of Williams' Principal, Lisa Mock, the PTA, parents, students, Brad Shaver, Lawrence & the AISD Landscaping Crew and the Travis County Community Service Program made headway on changing the landscape of Williams Elementary.

The AISD crew took out the overgrown and worn looking "flower bed", brought materials, and mulched the removed dead bushes.

The Travis County volunteers went to work on the new bed and removing the dead bushes, the principal and PTA volunteers worked on cleaning out the overgrown beds along the main entrance. In what was a hot morning of hard work, much was accomplished.

With the help of the Travis County Adult Probation community service volunteers, the Williams' Principal, Lisa Mock, and the PTA we planted the new flower box, built a circular stone flower bed around their memorial tree, added a new flower bed, planted all new flowers, and installed soaker hoses and water lines and edging for the 3 new beds.

The PTA provided water, edging for the flower beds, and a new automatic controller for the water lines, and has assumed responsibility for watering for the summer. |
