APIE Counselor of the Year 06-07 Ron Reed and our outstanding Pleasant Hill Elementary group.

Our friends from Town Lake Links have become a great mentor team for Campbell Elementary School.

Seedling's Promise Director David Gonzalez welcomes mentors to the program.

Seedling Foundation Public Relations Director Doyle Valdez opens the program and serves as mediator.

Judge Allison Benesch shares her long and varied experience in dealing with juvenile justice.

David Gonzalez, managing partner of Sumpter & Gonzalez, a criminal defense firm, shares his insights into the children of the incarcerated.

Mentor Director Kathy Luckett, a certified Ruby Payne trainer, shares a quiz that puts poverty into very concrete terms.

Dr. Linda Webb, award-winning Principal of award-winning Pillow Elementary shares an administrator's perspective and challenges.

Did we mention she was from Pillow?

Dobie Middle School Drop Out Intervention Specialist Maria Hernandez shared a personal perspective that drew a standing ovation from the mentors.

Michael C. McDonald, Assistant City Manager and former police officer, shared a law enforcement perspective.

Thomas Cruz, Jr., the Incarcerated Parents Program Coordinator for the Attorney General's Office gave us the parent's perspective.

Long time mentors and supporters of the Seedling Foundation, Elio & Susana King.

Megan Bayles Bartley, Marriage and Family Therapist at Austin Family Institute closed the panel with practical tips for mentors.

David Gonzalez, Seedling's Promise Director, thanked the panelists for sharing their time, their energy and passion for these children.

Executive Director Sari Waxler closed the program with sincere thanks to the panelists, the mentors and the campus contacts.
